World Concerns Commitee
Supports initiatives in developing and transitional countries, we are also a member of Amnesty International.
Praying Together
This is held in the Chapel at Immanuel and meets at 7.00pm on alternate Mondays. The meetings are very informal and last about ¾ hour.
Thursday Fellowship
Meeting 6.45 – 8.00pm for informal Christian Worship with cheerful music, prayers and stories for people with a learning disability.
The Church Choir
This practices on a Friday evening from 7.30 – 9.15pm with 6 weeks holiday during the summer. The members sing each Sunday evening and once a month during the morning service. The choir is always looking to increase its membership and so, the choirmaster would be pleased to hear from you.
Luncheon Club
If you are over 55, this could be the club for you. It meets most Tuesdays at 12.30pm and is a lively, happy club providing lovely lunches for just £2.50.
Immanuel Dramatic Society
This club meets most Tuesdays at 7.30 – 10.00pm. The yearly events include a pantomime, an Easter and summer play. The club also gives concerts at retired folks’ homes at various times throughout the year. The subscription for adults is £5.00 per year. Concessions for retired, unemployed and under 18s is £2.50.

Women’s Fellowship
This club has a wide age range and it meets on Wednesdays, 2.30 – 4.00pm. They have speakers and coach outings to various places. The subscription is £5.00 per annum and 50p per session, including tea and biscuits.
Social Club
There is scope for a greater range of activities at this club. Is it held on Wednesdays 7.00 – 10.00pm and is open to both men and women. At the moment the facilities for badminton and snooker are used but there is also equipment available for table tennis and darts. There is an active ladies board games group also at the same time. The charge is 50p per evening.
Commencing at 8.00pm, there is also a badminton group, playing purely for pleasure, and more people would always be welcome.
10 o’clock Club
Badminton is played for fun at this club and it is open to your mums, and dads as well, on Thursday from 10.00 – 11.30am. There is a crèche for young children and the cost is £1.50 for each session.
Retired Folks Badminton Group
An afternoon of gentle badminton, tea and a chat. Open to both men and women on Thursdays 1.30 – 3.15pm. More members always welcome.
Saba
This is a joint youth group for all 11-14 year olds in the Old Town Partnership and meets on Sunday evenings between 6.00-7.30pm.
Sticky
An ecumenical group for 14 – 18 year olds meeting from
8.00-10.00pm on Sunday evenings.
Brownies
